I recently took a trip to New York to help a dear friend with her apartment. Our first stop was one of my favorite shops, John Derian. This is where I purchased my beloved Lisa Corti quilt years ago, and each time I return I am impressed with the shop's whimsical array of goodies, large and small. So if you find yourself in New York, pay a visit to this wonderful space!
Today is a very happy day, as our little abode is featured on Design*Sponge! Definitely a dream come true. D*S has been my go-to site for small business advice, DIY projects and so much more. Thanks to Dorothee Brand of Belathee Photography for the wonderful photos.
Last month I was given the opportunity to showcase a little artwork alongside some very talented officemates as part of the 95 Yesler First Thursday Artwalk. I've been wanting to create these paper reliefs for a long time so this was the perfect opportunity to do it. I made these using some thick card stock, an awl and a little imagination. I love the final result! I'm excited to make more and see what direction I can take it...I'm especially inspired by all things constellation related at the moment. These lovely photos are courtesy of Cassandra Lavalle of Coco + Kelley!
Had so much fun yesterday painting my dresser with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint (in Graphite) and then I got a little carried away and just decided to re-do the whole wall - and I'm so happy I did! I love the combo of navy, white & gold (with a little pop of red!) - love doing gallery walls! Here's a little before and after...
I recently started seeing Ariele Alasko and her work everywhere - and with good reason! Her woodwork is absolutely stunning. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and anyone lucky enough to own something by Ariele can feel good knowing that her materials are sustainably sourced. Bravo, Ariele!
I'm so happy it is April! I moved to Seattle in November, so it's nice to be seeing the city in a new light, and it feels like every day there is another new flower or plant to discover. Just snapped this picture in my neighborhood...
I'm a bit obsessed with pillows at the moment. Pillows are such a fun and simple way to include pattern and color in your home - and they are easy to switch up according to your mood or season. I am loving all of Rebecca Atwood's creations. Her palette is so luxurious and calming. Her pillows are reversible so you are really getting two for one :) Swoon!
